About Us
Flying TreeHouse is an ensemble of actor-educators committed to cultivating and celebrating the imaginations and language arts of young people through creative writing workshops in local elementary schools, in-school performances of the young authors’ stories, and an annual on-campus public performance of this work. Our mission is to breathe visual life into the creative tales hatched by children, inspire them to write more, and to put on a quality theatre production entertaining and meaningful to the young authors, college students, and adults at the same time.*

*This is particularly easy when children write, for example, a story about an invisible truck named Tilly-bomb who gets drunk on the 280 and forgets his parents and his mom's phone number. And also fun when they write about a dog (Spotty) who eats his master's artwork, or a white cat named Snowfur who gets lost in the snow after his owner Dr. Science performs experiments wanting to see if she will blend in.
