The Dodgeball Button
Our first public show took place on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Roble Dorm Theater on Stanford's campus. It was a smashing success, selling out both at 7pm and 9pm. It used stories gathered from Ms. Nita and Ms. Wong's second grade classrooms at Escondido Elementary (see the Story Archives for more).
"I am so glad I came. I have not laughed that hard in ages!" Aliza Gazek, Stanford Class of 2013 (this is a paraphrase)
"That was seriously magical." I don't know I made this quote up but I'm sure someone said something like it.
"Stern AND playful!" Lisa Barker
"I'm the best dancer that ever was." Dan Klein

Over-Caffeinated: Happily Ever Bacon
Our second show, which took place on Friday, March 9, 2011 in Roble Dorm Theater, was just as grand, with a packed room for both the 7 pm and 9 pm shows. Seriously... they had to bring in stray chairs and people actually stood for an hour just to watch us. We were that good. The stories included were written by students in Ms. Nita and Ms. Wong's third grade classrooms at Escondido Elementary, and Ms. Valant and Ms. Steinke's third grade classrooms at East Palo Alto Charter School.
"SO GOOD." - A guy on the Facebook event page post-show (do I have the right to put his name if I didn't ask permission?)
